先週末、新潟prahaでのDJも好評だったLa Mano Friaですが、2009年の春にMix CDRを制作しています。

80年代〜90年代のNYC、クイーンズで生まれ育ったわけですが、クイーンズでハウスミュージックとは、House、Hip Hop、Reggaeの3つの要素の事を言う、 という解説です。

鬼のようにセンスの良いMIX CDでした。

La Mano Fria asks... what is house music? It's the 3 elements in a real Queens house party (house, hip hop and reggae)! Back in the days of shopping for records in Manhattan at Vinylmania, Discorama, Eight Ball and Dancetracks, to the days of events like NASA, Mars, Limelight, Giant Step, Shelter, Body and Soul, Sound factory, etc... And recording Friday night mixes by Tony Humphries, Lil Louis Vega, David Morales, etc.. Now going back to the days of pirate radio in Miami (1996-1998). Before the Beta Bodega label was started, you could find La Mano Fria and host V8, transmitting the sound of the underground on illegal stations like MTA94.3 FM (later OHM 94.3 FM) in downtown Miami and WOMB 107.1 FM in South Beach. Now welcome to a WLMF Radio!
